About Us

The Traveling Yoga Company Team

Our story

The Traveling Yoga Company began with a desire to bring yoga to the whole family. As a school nurse, Kathleen knew how important health and well-being was for children on a daily basis. When she graduated from her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, she created a new after school yoga club for kids called the CrissCross Applesauce Club at Belcher Elementary School in Chicopee, MA.

With the success of this school program, she knew she wanted to make it more widely available to children beyond her own school. And, knowing how busy families are, it would have to be convenient and easily accessible. The Traveling Yoga Company was born.

Caroline (a lifelong friend) and Tommy (a local musician and Kathleen's husband) quickly joined.  And, the schedule expanded to include adult restorative yoga classes with reiki.

Enjoy live music

Most of our Traveling Yoga Company events feature live music. We are lucky to have a talented musician like Tommy joining us in this beautiful journey.  It makes us happy that we can share this with you. Our goal is to create a unique and memorable yoga experience for you unlike any other.

Community Service

You can find our traveling trio teaching yoga at local vineyards, yoga studios and community events in the Pioneer Valley.  We are dedicated to honoring our Seva commitment or "yoga of selfless service" and support local non-profit organizations like Lorraine's Soup Kitchen and The Cancer House of Hope.
